Book Picks for 2011

It was a lot of fun to get together again and get some good ideas for books to read this year! There were a lot of great suggestions. We ended up choosing books for the next 5 months, respectively.

February: The Ladies Auxiliary by Tova Mirvis Hosted by Emily Morrise
March: Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras (4 book series) by Scott Westerfeld Hosted by Brooke Jeppesen (read one or as many as you would like in that month)
April: Rachel and Leah By Orson Scott Card Hosted by Mindy Long
May: Left Neglected By Lisa Genova Hosted by Emily Chamberlain
June: Shabanu By Suzanne Fisher Staples Hosted by Sarah Riding

Book club tonight!

We will be meeting at 8 PM at the home of Meghan Mcarthur (1417 South 740 East).  We will be choosing new books to read for the next few months.  See you there!

Book Club resuming!

Hi all!  Now that all the changes with wards have taken place, it's high time we start meeting again!  And I definitely think we should all stay together if possible.  I love meeting with you guys!

Emily Morrise has suggested that we move the night to the 4th Thursday of the month, still at 8 PM.  This would put our first meeting for this year next Thursday, January 27.  We can get together and make a plan for books and talk about any books we have read over the holidays.  And chat over a small treat, of course.  :-)

How does the new day sound?  And is anyone interested in hosting next Thursday?

Book Club??

Hi fellow readers. I was just wondering if we are continuing to read books and meet to discuss. I know we took a break for the holidays but did we have a book chosen for January? If not are there any suggestions? I can come up with a few ideas if not... so we can start meeting again.
